Customer Appreciation Day @ Artistic Portland Gallery!

BIG EVENT ALERT! On November 30th we’re hosting a Customer Appreciation Day! At Artistic Portland Gallery, we are eternally grateful for your support. Although we’re a co-op of 25 artists working collaboratively to run the gallery, we each essentially work alone. It’s so gratifying to us when you connect with our artwork and it speaks to you. With each piece, we’re sending our vision, skills and best intentions out into the world. When we form a connection with you through our work, we feel valued and appreciated. So we want to thank you by dedicating this event to you! 

Most of the artists will be offering a 10% discount on their art. If you’ve been admiring something, this is a great opportunity to purchase it. We’ll have treats and drinks for this fun event. It’s also Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30th, which is a prime time to buy holiday gifts for your loved ones. 

Celebration: “Diversity in Art - An Artist’s Point of View”

In November at Artistic Portland Gallery, we’re also celebrating “Thankful for Each Other” month. We are a close knit group of artists who proudly work together to display our art. We have planned a special event called “Diversity in Art - An Artist’s Point of View”. It’s inspired by this photo taken from a plane by one of the artists. 

Artists have created their unique interpretation of the photo in their own medium. This has proven to be a festival of the wide range of mediums represented at Artistic Portland Gallery, which includes everything from watercolor to felt paintings, encaustic to fiber arts, enamel to glass, collage to photographs. On November 30th artists will be present to share their unique point of view. Our hope is to learn more about how each person sees the world, communicates, interprets, and feels through their art. We're also encouraging an Artist Collaboration project in which artists team up to combine their mediums to create something new and magical. The art that’s been submitted for this celebrations is truly remarkable! We encourage you to stop by and check it out!

Professional Holiday Photos at Artistic Portland Gallery!

On November 30th we’ll also be unveiling our snow globe wonderland in our annex. It will be a sparkling winter-themed extravaganza. Our professional photographers will be present to take your holiday photos for only $15 each! They will be emailed to you for you to print. We’ve set this up in time for you to include them in your holiday cards and gifts.

Trick or Treat on Fremont Street

Trick or Treat on Fremont Street returns October 31st, 4-6pm. Every year businesses within the Beaumont Business district hand out candy to trick or treaters on Halloween. This year, participating businesses will be giving out full size and fun size candy. A few lucky trick or treaters will also receive a gift card to a participating business of their choice!

Lyn Kennison | Glass Artist

November 16 from 1-4pm. If you’ve always wanted to try fused glass here is your opportunity to create a fused glass Christmas ornament. All materials will be provided so no glass cutting is required. Expert help will also be there for encouragement & advice. Please sign up for a particular time slot so we have room. See you there November 16 from 1-2pm, 2-3pm and 3-4pm. The fee is $15 per ornament. The ornaments will be fired off site and returned to the gallery within 3 days for pickup.

Artist Talk with Andrea Morris @ Artistic Portland

Andrea Morris | Nature Photographer Artist Talk

Join us on Monday November 11th for an artist talk from nature photographer, Andrea Morris. Andrea received a grant through the Regional Arts and Culture Council for her collection titled What Lies Beneath. In this collection, Andrea used a macro photography approach to documenting the natural details that lie on the trails of Portland Parks across each month of 2023. Join us for the free event which includes an open gallery from 4:00pm - 8:00pm, light refreshments and snacks, and an artist talk from 5-7pm. We hope to see you there! Monday, November 11th, 5-7 PM - RSVP to attend.

Trick or Treat for Cans

"Trick or Treat for Cans", which is a food donation event that gives back to the community, will take place during traditional Trick or Treating hours (5-8pm). Instead of asking for candy, volunteers will be requesting canned goods to be donated to the Sunshine Division. Volunteers will be given tote bags and maps of the neighborhood. This will help ensure each person/group covers a few blocks so no one has to walk too much and everyone goes to different houses.

Get ready to cozy up on your couch with a cup of tea and a book this fall! Perch Furniture and ECOVIBE are hosting a book exchange and tea party in the Perch Showroom the evening of October 24th. Bring a book (or two, or three) to swap, shop fall pillows, throws and mugs, and enjoy tea samples from local tea makers. Invite your book club! Meet some neighbors!  Sip some tea! And snag a good, new-to-you read for the upcoming dark and rainy nights. We are excited to see what books you bring!
